Maricopa is an up and coming city just South of Phoenix. Maricopa was incorporated into a city in 2003, but before that was farmland, and plenty of it! Rancho El Dorado was the first housing community to be built in Maricopa, and at that time the area was barren. Residents had to drive to Chandler to buy groceries or eat. The two main stores pre 2003 were a Circle K and a dairy Queen.
Fast forward seven years! Plenty of shopping, great restaurants, Walmart Super center and an estimated population of almost 40,000!. Rancho El Dorado was joined by nearly 10 other master planned communities. Many different types of people live in Maricopa! We have a gorgeous 55+ active adult community named Province, we have families, snow birds, Canadians and just regular old people!

Once a year, the city sponsors a Salsa festival, we have fireworks in the park on July 4th, a band and festival for founders day, and a yearly fishing rodeo for the little ones in March!
